Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Enon Baptist Church in Columbia for Lamar Eldridge Dale, 83, of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his residence. Interment will be at Enon Church Cemetery. Bro. Richard Magee, Bro. Bill Morris, and Bro. Edward Penton will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2020 at Hathorn Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM until service time on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Enon Baptist Church.

As a resident of Marion County for more than fifty years, Lamar loved farming. He was a faithful member to Enon Baptist Church. Children always held a special place in his heart, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Lamar & Sylvenia Dale; and one Sister, Betty Dedeaux.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Emma Dale; one Son, Glenn Dale, one Daughter, Renee Stampley (Rob); two Sisters, LaDonis Good, Lamara Ladner; and two Grandchildren, Kris Stampley (Alicia), Ryan Stampley.

Pallbearers will be Logan Dunn, T.J. Kennedy, Mark Peavy, Cole Robbins, Will Simmons, and Neal Windham.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Enon Baptist Church Building Fund.
