Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Kimberly Gayle Fortenberry, 64, of Columbia, who passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her residence. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Tyler Chavis will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

As a longtime resident of Columbia, family was the most important thing to Kim, and especially spoiling and watching her grandchildren grow. She was always present at their sporting events to love and cheer them on. She was a loving sister, aunt, and great aunt who was dearly loved. She always had a hug and smile for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Sedgie Ford Reid, Jr.; her Mother, Valda "Babs" Craft Hardy; and her Sister, Twyla Beth Reid.

She is survived by her Husband of 46 years, Thomas Newton Fortenberry, of Columbia; her Son, Jamie Fortenberry (Kim), of Columbia; her Daughter, Breanne' Johnston (Jason), of Hattiesburg; four Grandchildren, Kate Fortenberry, Andrew Fortenberry, both of Columbia, and Cooper Johnston, Addison Johnston, both of Hattiesburg; two Brothers, Shane Reid (Marcie), Robbie Rogers (Tasha) of Columbia; and three Sisters, Dee Ann Rome, of Gulf Shores, Alabama; Angela Price, of Dale Ray Beach, Florida; Connie Bondi (Bruno) of Boca Raton, Florida.

Pallbearers will be Keith Fortenberry, Jeffrey Haddox, Laremy Aultman, Chase Smith, Randall Aultman, and Cody Fortenberry. Kenneth Wayne Stovall will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
