Kenny grew up and spent all his life in Marion County. He grew up raising cattle with his best friend, his father. Throughout the years, Kenny was a jack of all trades and could do carpentry, fabricating, welding, roofing, and many other things. His favorite job was hauling crude oil as a truck driver. He had a love for history and reading. He and Peggy loved to go camping and fishing. But his true joy in life was spending time with Papa's Big Man (Christian) and Papa's Little Man (Trevor). His favorite pastime was watching both his boys play football. He loved watching old westerns with Christian throughout the years, and one of his proudest moments was when Trevor finally wanted a pair of boots. Kenny had a way with words, such as "burning daylight". Up until his last days, he kept his personality. He liked to keep everyone on their toes and did not fail to let everyone know he was still "THE BOSS!"
Mr. Rowell was preceded in death by his Parents, Harry K. & Sue Rowell; Grandparents, Cauley Elijah & Iva Berry Rowell, William Dan & Mildred Tubbs White.
He is survived by his Wife of 48 years, Peggy P. Rowell, of Foxworth; one Son, Kent Rowell (Robin Burciaga Rowell), of Columbia; two Grandchildren, Christian "Christi" Rowell & Trevor Rowell, of Columbia; and one Sister, Sherry Rowell May, of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Kent Rowell, Christian Rowell, Trevor Rowell, Steve Rowell, Burt Rowell, Avery Fortenberry, and Walter Andrews. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Thomas, Tim Dawsey, and Ricky Sandifer.
