Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Kenneth Wayne Stovall, 69, of Columbia, who passed away Friday, August 29, 2025 at his residence. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Pastor Jerron Carney will officiate the services.
The Stovall family will receive guests on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Hathorn Funeral Home.
Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Stovall was born December 13, 1955 in Marion County. He attended East Columbia Baptist Church where he grew up attending Sunday School and vacation Bible School with all his childhood friends. Kenny attended school at Columbia Public Schools and Columbia Academy. He was a retired oilfield worker. Kenny and his wife, Janis, attended Woodlawn Church. Kenny enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with his wife, Janis. He adored children and always looked forward to his nieces and nephews ' visits.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, O Kenneth "Whitie" & Ouida Bell Anderson Stovall; his Wife of 30 years, Janis Price Stovall; one Sister, Pamela "Pambo" Stovall; and one Brother-in-law, Danny G. Haddox.
He is survived by his Brother, Kevin Dale Stovall, of Columbia; his Sister, Beverly Haddox, of Foxworth; two Nephews, Jory Haddox (Christie), of Sumrall, Spencer Stovall (Erin), of Hattiesburg; one Niece, Shelbi Stovall (Phillip) of Aspen Hill, Maryland; and a number of Cousins, family members, and many friends.
Mr. Stovall will be carried to his final resting place by those honored to serve as Pallbearers; they include: Laremy Aultman, Jory Haddox, Bryan Morgan, Dennis Pitts, Mims Russell, III, and Spencer Stovall. Honorary pallbearers will be Marlon Broome, Dick Boy Deal, Jamie Fortenberry, Newton Fortenberry, Berkley Hall, Edwin Johnson, Danny McDonald, Ramie Russell, Dude Stovall, and Mike Stovall.
