Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 03, 2025 at New Union Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia for Kenneth Lavon Robbins, 78, of Columbia, who passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 at The Grove. Interment will be at New Union Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Darrin Webb will officiate the services. Linda Foil will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm on Friday, May 2, 2025 at New Union Missionary Baptist Church.
Kent was a man known for his skilled hands and friendly service. He was a talented mechanic who could fix just about anything, and he served his community faithfully as a postal carrier. Beyond his professional life, Kent had a knack for growing delicious tomatoes in his tomato houses, sharing his bounty with many. His passion for bluegrass music filled his life with joy, and its lively tunes were a constant source of pleasure for him.
He was preceded in death by his two Sons, Joey Robbins and Chris Robbins; Father, Simeon Dewitt Robbins; Mother, Tammar Walters Robbins; Grandchild, Eric Magee; three Brothers, Elbert Robbins, Doye Robbins and Clayton Robbins; Sisters, Wydell King, Wannell Davis and Lillie Don Broom.
He is survived by his Daughter, Teresa Magee (Darrel); three Grandchildren, Justin Robbins, Austin Robbins and Jessica Briggs (T. J. ); three Brothers, Jerry Robbins (Mary Frances), Willis Robbins and Grady Robbins (Katherine); five Great Grandchildren, Aubrie Robbins, Kristyn Robbins, Jacob Robbins, Gunner Briggs and Harley Briggs; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Foxworth, Clifford Robbins, Rodney Robbins, Terry Randall, David Robbins and Andy Robbins.
