Memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for John George Vial, Jr., 78, who passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Rev. Mark McNair will officiate the service. Visitation will be heled from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mr. John lived a beautiful life surrounded by his family and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband of 58 years. He served this great nation in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. John was passionate about deer hunting with his wife and family. Mr. and Mrs. Vial owned and operated a Horse Ranch for over 25  years. They bred and trained Appaloosa Horses there. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Vial, Sr. & Hilda Vial.

He is survived by his Wife, Joan Vial; two Children, Cindy Mire (Harold), Melissa Smith; two Sisters, Yvonne Dufrene, Sylvia Vial; two Grandchildren, Hunter Tracy, Mia Tracy; one Son-in-law, Richard Tracy.
