Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for John Regas Peters, 71, of Columbia, who passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 at Marion General Hospital. Pastor Jerron Carney and Rev. Stephen Binion will officiate the services.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

He was preceeded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his fiancé, Mary Myers of Columbia;

future step-daughter, Dianna Rutland (Jeremy) of Oakvale; future step-grandson, Kaden Rutland of Oakvale; and a host of friends and family.
