A Private Family Graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Oak Grove Apostolic Church Cemetery in Foxworth for Jimmie Louise Gill, 89, of Foxworth, who passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Bros. Felix Arnold and Joey Martin will officiate. A public Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia.

Many things can be said about the life of Jimmie Louise Gill. Whether it was her cooking, or teaching her family how to cook, nobody ever left her house hungry. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister to the church. She worked hard to go above and beyond with any task given to her, small or large. She was selfless and loved by everyone who met her. She always had a smile, whether it be for a stranger or an old friend. She'd do what she could to make those around her laugh. She had a long, beautiful walk with God, and she loved him above all else. She may have forgotten many things in the end, but she never forgot how to talk to the Lord. In many ways, her passing was a tragedy. But may her loved ones feel peace knowing she's painlessly walking those streets of gold now, awaiting the day her family is rreunited. And may she rest in peace knowing how loved she is.

She was preceded in death by Parents, Jimmy & Bessie Johnson; one Son, Billy Joe Culpepper; two Brothers, Lawrence Johnson, Joe Richard Johnson; two Sisters, Lois Barber, Dorothy Beasley; and one Granddaughter, Rianna Gibbs Wilson.

She is survived by three Daughters, Marilyn Gibbs, of Foxworth, Donna Powell (Michael), of Foxworth, Glenda Edwards (Terry), of Foxworth; one Sister, Peggy Ruth Barnhill of Warrenton North Carolina; eight Grandchildren; sixteen Great Grandchildren; and three Great Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joey Wheat, Michael Edwards, Kevin Mullins, Merrell Porter, Clayton Powell, and Kameron Mullins.
