Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Goss Baptist Church in Columbia for Jesse Isaac Blansett, 57, of Columbia, who passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at Asbury Hospice House. Interment will be at Society Hill Cemetery in Oakvale. Rev. Ralph Sanford and Rev. Brian Malone will officiate the services.

The Blansett family will receive friends Wednesday morning, beginning at 9:00 am until the hour of service at 11:00 am at Goss Baptist Church.

Jesse was a lifelong resident of Columbia. A devoted member of Goss Baptist Church, he found great joy in attending services and fellowship with his church family. An avid outdoorsman, Jesse loved hunting and fishing, finding solace and peace in nature. He cherished his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and his warm, friendly nature ensured that he never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Julius Ray & Shirley Mae Holmes Blansett; one Brother, James J. Blansett; his Mother-In-Law, Kathryn Williamson; and one Brother-In-Law, Bobby Cox.

His memory will be forever cherished by his Wife of 37 years, Anita Bourne Blansett, of Columbia; two Sons, Matthew Blansett (Kaitlin), of Columbia, Jonathan Blansett, of Columbia; one Daughter, Sarah Blansett, of Columbia; two Grandchildren, Beau L. Blansett, of Columbia, Blaire K. Blansett, of Columbia; one Brother, Clifford Blansett (Barbara), of Columbia; two Sisters, Jennifer Cox, of Columbia, Angela Koepp (Pat), of Columbia; his Father-in-law, James L. Williamson, Sr., of Columbia; and Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Great Nieces & Nephews.
