Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Jeanie Loraine Polk, 77, of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Marion General Hospital. Interment will be at Pine Burr Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Allen Turnage, Rev. Raymond Jeffcoat, and Bro. Don Armagost will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Polk was an active member of Pine Burr Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vera and Lloyd Day, and her sister, Dorothy Thornton. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Andrew Louis Polk, her daughter Drewe Llyn Jeffcoat (Raymond), one grandson Kyle Jeffcoat (Tori), three granddaughters Cassie Mangum (Mason), Candace Jeffcoat, and Rochelle Jeffcoat, two great-granddaughters, Emery and Olive Jeffcoat; one great-grandson, Malachi Mangum; two sisters, Joan Bullock and Mary Llyn Sones-Lowe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jeanie was a retired teacher's assistant with the Columbia School District. She enjoyed reading, sewing, spending time with her family, and packing shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
