A private family service will be held at a later date for Janice Laverne Hall, 79, of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at her residence. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Janice was a loving person who dedicated her life to helping care for the elderly.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ollie Saulters; son, Mark Smith; sister, Laura Singley and Dot Gordon; and granddaughter, Alexandra Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Eric Smith of Ocean Springs; daughters, Ellen Emile (Billy) of Ocean Springs, Laura Stogner of Columbia, Charlotte Tanksley of Ocean Springs, and Michelle Smith of Columbia; grandchild, Joshua Thomas (Tena) of Foxworth; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
