A private memorial service will be held at a later date for James Roger Tolar, 52 of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at his residence.

Born and reared in Marion County, Roger enjoyed fishing and duck hunting. He was a graduate of Columbia Academy and Pearl River Community College. He worked with heavy machinery and dirt work with TL Wallace in Columbia for twenty years.

Roger was preceded in death by his Mother, Sarah Harrell King. He is survived by his Son, Stephen Tolar (Lauren), of Columbia; his Father, Charles Tolar (Janie), of Columbia; one Grandchild, Kingsley Tolar, of Columbia; and two Brothers, Benton Tolar, of Columbia, Ryan Tolar, of Columbia.
