Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Pine Burr Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Pine Burr for James Larry McGill, 78, of Lumberton, who passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 at his residence. Interment will be at Baxterville Cemetery in Lumberton. Rev. W D Hibley and Rev. Dustin Hibley will officiate the services.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Pine Burr Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his First Wife, Eleanor McGill; Father, Thomas Virgil McGill; Mother, Audie May Malley McGill; two Sisters, Shirley McGill Boone and Diane Sanchez.

He is survived by his Wife, Laura Nell Sistrunk McGill; three Sons, Scott Hooten (Terri), Jamie Hooten (Tonya) and Paul Hooten; Daughter, Robin Ezell; two Brothers, Thomas McGill (Pricilla) and Homer McGill (Mavis); twenty-four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Miller, Russell Delancey, David Caves, Danny Ezell, Lynell Dolphin and Ronald Hibley.
