Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for James "Strap Iron" Hilbun, 73, of Foxworth, who passed away Monday, May 30, 2022. Interment will be at Foxworth Cemetery in Foxworth. Bro. Willie Martin will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2022 and again from 9:00 am to 11:45 am Friday June 3 rd at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mr. James was a lifelong resident of Marion County. He lived a beautiful life surrounded by family and friends. Mr. James loved his family immensely. He loved to grill, fish and listen to traditional country music. He enjoyed riding and hunting although the story goes that he would go hunting and fall asleep under a tree. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Creel Hilbun; one Sister, Janice Bedwell; one Daughter, Vickie Michelle Hilbun; one Son, James Hilbun, Jr.

He is survived by his Wife, Cindy L. Hilbun; one Son, Greg Hilbun; his Mother, Texie A. Hilbun; three Sisters, Norma McCain (Charles), Debbie McCain (Bill), Becky Cox (Winston); two Brothers, Bennie Hilbun (Sarah), Ronal Hilbun (Kathy), six Grandchildren and ten Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robert Foster, Shane Bates, Nate Strite, Summer Foster, Divontayh Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Hilbun and Ben McCain.
