Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for James W. Callender, Jr. "Jim", as he was known by his family and friends, passed from this life on July 29, 2021 at 5:02 AM at Forrest General Hospital. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Hathorn Funeral Home.  Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Randy Gardner will officiate.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Lottie Callender; and three children, Gordon, Vicki, and Eddie.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pat Callender; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rudy and Lynn Robbins; two nieces, Angie Robinson (Jamie) and Judy Rogers (Gannon); and their children, Brooks and Kayla Robinson, and Kaitlyn, Hannah and Cameron Rogers.

Pallbearers will be Gannon Rogers, Cameron Rogers, Jamie Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Rudy Robbins, and Sterling Ostheimer.
