Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Jack Lee George, 87, of Morgan City, LA, who passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation. Interment will be at Advance Church Cemetery in Sumrall. Bro. Chris Turnage will officiate the services.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Jack was an avid chocolate lover, and he enjoyed cooking bar-b-que and spending time with his family.  As a boat captain he worked traveling the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico.  In his spare time, he enjoyed vacationing in Gatlinburg, TN.

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Dorothy M. Shiver George; Son, William Joey Wilson; Daughter, Diane Conley; Father, Jess George; Mother, Juanita C. Hall Williams; two Grandchildren, Joseph Wilson, Michael Suire; three Brothers, Donald Ray George, Jimmy Lee Williams and Tommy Allen Williams; Sister, Billie Brooks.

He is survived by his Daughter, Peggy Bass (Andy); seven Grandchildren, Terri Ward (Jason), Kristy Ford (Walter), Suzanne Landry (Sage), Isaac Wilson, Christina Wilson, Elda Luera and Miranda Wilson (Elina); Sister, Mary N. Williams; Gary Williams; 15 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great Great-Grandchild; His furry companion, Trixie;  A host of nephews, nieces and friends.
