Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 01, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Irma Jean Thompson, 76, of Lumberton, who passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Forrest General Hospital. Interment will be at Graves Creek Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Roger Miller will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 and Thursday June 1, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rillis Moree; mother, Emma Magee Moree; two Grandchildren, David Neal, and Carlton Leo Swayze, III; two brothers, Gary Moree, and John Moree; two son-in-laws, Carlton Swayze, Jr. and Gerald Walters; two brother-in-laws, Roger Mulford and Jim Turner.

She is survived by her spouse, Harry Thompson, Jr. of Lumberton, MS; two daughters, Mona Swayze and Tracey Walters; four Grandchildren, Christopher Neal, Nichole Neal, Christina (C.J.) Swayze, and Connor Swayze; two brothers, Austin Moree and Larue (Moree (Barbara); three sisters, Betty Turner, Brenda Williamson (Earnest) and Judy Mulford; three great grandchildren, Will Neal, Sophia Neal and Chelsea Mae Neal; sister-in-law, Susan Moree.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Neal, Patrick Bradford, Tony Moree, Josh Moree, Keith Moree, and Allen Mulford. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Swayze and Cecil Thompson.
