Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 03, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, MS, for Iris Fortner, 97, of Columbia, who passed away Thursday, June 30, 2022. Interment will be at Lott Cemetery. Dr. Jerry Watts will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Saturday July 2, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Fortner lived a beautiful life of 97 years. She was a long-time resident of Marion County. She devoted 30 plus years as an Auto Mechanic, working side by side with her late Husband, Mr. Cleveland Fortner, Sr. They also loved to hunt and fish together. Mrs. Fortner was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Cleveland Fortner, Sr.; her Parents, Will & Ollie Blackwell; one Daughter, Patricia Fortner; two Sons, Cleveland "Ricky" Fortner, Jr., Willard Fortner.

She is survived by her Daughters, Susan Fortner, Buffie Fortner Neal; two Grandchildren, Cleveland "Ricky" Fortner III, Jennifer Fortner; three Great Grandchildren, Madison Kate Fortner, Tyler Beasley, Zach Beasley, and a number of Nieces and Nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jesse McMurry, Danny Patterson, Jamie Patterson, Heath Nobles, Scottie Blackwell, and Cleveland Fortner III.
