Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Gloria Dale McKenzie, 79, of Columbia, who passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at her residence. Interment will be at Improve Baptist Church Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Darel Daniels & Rev. Paul Young will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Dale was a long-time resident of Marion County. She enjoyed traveling and did a great deal of it throughout the years. Elvis was her favorite musician. She was a member of North Columbia Baptist Church, and she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren immensely.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Henry & Lucy Badon; one Grandchild, Kiel Warren McKenzie; and one Sister, Nell Breeden.

She is survived by her Son, Glen McKenzie (Terri), of Columbia; two Grandchildren, Kasey Gill (Kayla), of Hattiesburg, Kalin McKenzie (Charli), of Columbia; one Sister, Geneva Simmons (Gary), of Columbia;  four Great Grandchildren, Kohen Gill, of Hattiesburg, Knox Gill, of Hattiesburg, Kiel Haze McKenzie, of Columbia, Addison Hollis, of Eupora, Jordyn Brown, of Columbia, Jacob Brown, of Columbia; one Nephew, Remy Simmons, of Columbia; and one Niece, Donna Martin, of Columbia.

Pallbearers will be Robert Terrell, Ricky Carney, Nick Davis, David Brown, Kasey Gill, Kalin McKenzie.
