Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Gilbert J Boudreaux, 92, of Kokomo, who passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025 at his residence. Interment will be at Kokomo Community Cemetery in Kokomo. Family members will officiate the services. Laura Anderson will provide special music.
The Boudreaux family will receive friends on Saturday morning, beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of service of 11:00 am at Hathorn Funeral Home.
Mr. Gilbert Boudreaux, a man of profound dedication and deep affection, passed away peacefully. A devout member of St. Vincent De Paul, he also held a lifetime membership with the blood bank, where his rare blood type was uniquely reserved to save the lives of babies. He proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Gilbert's greatest joy came from his family, and his most cherished memories were made hunting and fishing with his brother Curtis Boudreaux, and engaging in friendly games of pool with his brother Junior. His love for his wife was immeasurable, a testament of their more than 60 years together, marked by an enduring and affectionate devotion that inspired all who witnessed it.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Patricia B. Boudreaux; Son, Daniel Boudreaux; Father, Wilbert Boudreaux, Sr.; Mother, Wilevia Chiasson Boudreaux; two Brothers, Wilbert Boudreaux, Jr. (Dolores) and Curtis Boudreaux, Sr. (Mary Ann).
He is survived by his two Daughters, Terry Lerille (Gary) and June Anderson (David) of Kokomo, MS; four Grandchildren, Tisha D`Aquin (Mike), Shawn Glass (Freedom), David Anderson, III (Laura) and Grace Talbert (SenKendrick); Great Grandchild, 12 Great Grand Children; Nephew, A host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
Mr. Boudreaux will be carried to his final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include David Anderson Jr., Gary Lerille Sr., David Anderson III, Shawn Glass, Tisha D`Aquin, and Grace Talbert. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Williams and Eric Williams.
