Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Gene Andre Dawsey, 87, of Columbia, who passed away Friday, April 22, 2022 at Asbury Hospice House. Interment will be at White Bluff Church Cemetery. Bro. John Blackmon will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Gene was preceded in death by his Parents, W.J. and Wilma Boyd Carter; Father, Alphonso Prine Dawsey; Grandson, Christopher Andre Miles; Sister, Charmagne Dawsey Lee.

He is survived by his Children, Rene Miles (Johnnie) of Columbia, MS, Terry Gene Dawsey (Wanda) of Columbia, MS, Lee Speer (Mike) of Canton, MS; Brother, Wayne Carter; Sisters, Jeanell Dawsey Rainey, Sylvia Wilberding (Tony); and a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Dawsey, Dwayne Martin, Dan Rodriguez, Lyle Rainey, Craig Rainey, and Randy Dyess.
