Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Hathorn Funeral Home for Gayle Reid, 78 of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital. Interment will be at Society Hill Cemetery. Dr. Bryant Barnes will officiate the services. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m until 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Gayle was a long time resident of Marion County and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Columbia. She loved spending time with her kids, attending her grandkids' sporting events, and her dog, Sugar Baby. She was a member and Treasurer of the Marion County Eastern Star Chapter # 94, enjoyed bowling, and was involved in Equestrian exhibits.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Sedgie Reid, Jr.; and her Parents, J.O. & Charlene Breakfield.

She is survived by four Daughters, Angella Price, Connie Bondi (Bruno), Kimberly Fortenberry (Newton), DeeAnn Rome; two Sons, Shane Reid (Marcie), Robbie Rogers (Tasha); one Brother, Jerry Breakfield (Carolyn); fifteen Grandchildren, Alexandra Price, Connor Price, Michael Reid (Madison), Hunter Reid, Jacob Reid, Erika Rogers, Whitney Rogers, John Robert Rogers, Jr., Luca Bondi, Mauro Bondi, Marco Bondi, Chase Smith (Cortney), Jamie Fortenberry (Kim), Breanne Johnston (Jason), Addison Johnston; and five Great Grandchildren, Andrew Fortenberry, Cooper Johnston, Austyn Smith, Danica Smith, Kate Fortenberry.

Pallbearers will be Michael Reid, Hunter Reid, Jacob Reid, Connor Price, John Robert Rogers, Marco Bondi, Mauro Bondi and Luca Bondi. Jerry Breakfield will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
