Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Erma J. Dunaway, 93, of Foxworth, who passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021. Interment will be at Morgantown Cemetery. Pastor Jerron Carney & Rev. Clyde Clark will officiate the services. Joe Bracey & Justin Conway will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Erma was born and raised in Marion County. She was the oldest living member of Woodlawn Church in Columbia. Erma loved visits from her family, and she loved looking out the front door from her recliner.

She was preceded in death by Husband, J.W. "Nig" Dunaway; her Parents, Rev. William & Johnnie Hammond; six Sons, James Earl Dixon, William Lee Dixon, Randy Wesley Dixon, Donnie Ray Dixon, Tommy Dunaway, Sr., Phillip Dunaway; four Sisters, Rose Lee Morgan, Maxine Hammond, Billy Bracey, Joyce Thornhill; and one Brother, William Sonny Hammond.

She is survived by nine Grandchildren, Timothy Dixon (Melissa), of Shreveport, Louisiana, Simone Childs (Andy), of Shreveport, Louisiana, Stacy Creel (Chris), of Columbia, Tabitha Stuckey (Todd), of Hallsville, Texas, Tommy Dunaway, Jr. (Gigi), of Columbia, Shane Dunaway (Shaina), of Randolph, Ryan Dunaway (Sarah), of Foxworth, Tammy Lynn Blackwell (Clark), of Foxworth, Michael Miller (Candice), of Columbia; 23 Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Great-Grandchildren; two Daughters-in-law, Cindy Pilgram, of Florence, Betty Dixon, of Shreveport, Louisiana; and a very special Great Niece, Kayla Bittinger, of Foxworth.

Pallbearers will be Rev. Stephen Binion, Joe Bracey, Bryson Dunaway, Ryan Dunaway, T.J. Dunaway, and Mike Wallace.
