Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at New Bunker Hill Cemetery in Columbia for Effie Gay Manton, 87, of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Forest General Hospital. Interment will be at New Bunker Hill Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Johnny Williams will officiate the services.  Chris Turnage will provide special music.

She was preceded in death by her Father, William Broome; Mother, Lela Watts Broome; Grandchild, Jay Riley; Sister, Odie Mae Thrasher.

She is survived by her Spouse, Jimmie Manton of Columbia, MS;  two Sons, Greg Manton of Columbia, MS and Scott Manton (Darlene) of Chattanooga, TN;  Daughter, Lisa Riley (Harold) of Columbia, MS;  seven Grandchildren, Lacey Dykes (Kyle) of Columbia, MS, Brooke Henderson (Austin) of Richton, MS, Victoria Riley of Columbia, MS, Shirlee Dodd (Aaron) of Columbia, MS, Madison Riley of Columbia, MS, Kaitlyn Mitchell (Brandon) of Chattanooga, TN and Chase Manton of Chattanooga, TN;  five Great Grandchildren, Ellie Mitchell of Chattanooga, TN, Emery Henderson of Richton, MS, Michael Dodd of Columbia, MS, Parker Dykes of Columbia, MS and Fallon Dykes of Columbia; A host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Mrs. Manton will be carried to her final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include Greg Manton, Scott Manton, Harold Riley, and Chase Manton.
