Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Calvary Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mize, MS for Edna Lucille Austin, 87, of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at her residence. Interment will be at Calvary Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Hilton Edward Austin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Edna Lucille Austin was born August 20, 1934 in Morton, MS. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 and 1/2 years, Ormand Hilton Austin; parents, Willian Louie Mahaffey and Edna Elizabeth Regions Mahaffey of Morton MS; three brothers, Merle Mahaffey of Morton MS, William Edgar Mahaffey of Anadarko OK, and Jones Peek Mahaffey of Cleveland TN; one infant sister, Clara Mahaffey of Morton MS; and grandson, Joshua David Austin of Cleveland TN.

She is survived by two brothers; James Howard Mahaffey of Apache Junction AZ, Harry Gene Mahaffey of Forest MS; three children, Hilton Edward Austin (Teresa) of Grenada MS, Sherry Lynn McGinley (Craig) of Columbia MS, David Leo Austin (Cathy) of Cleveland TN; six grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Edna Lucille Austin was beloved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, her brothers, her sisters in law, and her nieces and nephews.

She and her beloved Hilton pastored for 33 years in the Church of God. She was known among many as a faithful prayer warrior and loved to study the Bible and teach others about the Lord.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Austin, Jonathan Austin, Chance Cater, Eli Cater, Chase Cater, and Jon Cater.
