Dwaine Kendrick

A private Graveside service will be held at a later date for Dwaine Kendrick, 71, of Columbia, who passed away Friday, October 23, 2026.

Born on December 30, 1954, in Marion County, Dwaine was raised in the community he always called home. He was an easy-going man who enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing in his younger years. He loved spending time outside with his dog, Craig, who brought him much happiness and companionship. Family was very important to him, especially his mother. Although he owned land in Sumrall, he chose to move in with his mother so he could care for her in her later years. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he enjoyed being part of his church family.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Vennis & Kathrine Maxwell Kendrick; one Brother, Dwight Kendrick; and three Sisters, Nelia Batson, Shelia Sumral, Kathi Stenitt. He is survived by one sister, Debra Thornhill (Vance), of Foxworth; and a number of Nieces & Nephews.
