Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Donald Glen Stringer, 85, of Columbia, who passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at The Myrtles Nursing Home. Interment will be at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Sandy Hook. Rev. Paul Young will officiate the services. Larry King, Glyn King, Greg King, and Lindsay Rivero will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his Spouse, Betty Jean Stringer; Son, Michael Glenn Stringer; Daughter, Rene Johnson; Father, William (Billy) Stringer; Mother, Eliza Ophelia Stogner Stringer; Brothers, Joseph (J. W.) Stringer, Alton (Buck) Stringer (Betty), Kenneth (Dick) Stringer (Mildred), Edgar (Gene) Stringer, Franklin (Frank) Stringer and Jerry Stringer (Alice); Sisters, Ouida Rogers (Garvis), Helen Wade (Jeff).

He is survived by his Daughter, Linda Peak; Grandchildren, Kari Peak, Cody Peak; Brother, George (Ben) Stringer (Peggy); Sister, Billie Sue Breakfield; A host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Adam Stringer, Daniel Coward, Kenny Stringer, Darrin Tolar, Shannon Holmes, Kevin Wade, Donald Stringer, Steven Sanders, and Bobby Stringer. Honorary pallbearers will be William (Wig) Billingsley and Cody Peak.
