Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Dollie L. Smith, 84, of Foxworth, who peacefully entered paradise on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Interment will be at the Bedwell Cemetery on Shady Grove Church Road. Rev. Darrin Powell will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Smith was born January 14, 1940 and was a lifelong resident of Marion County and worked many years at both Rutter Rex and Pioneer Aerospace. She loved her family and grandchildren immensely and enjoyed spending time with them. Her hobbies included gardening, flowers, and watching Westerns. While a resident of The Grove in Columbia, she made many loving relationships with the staff.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Cecil Smith; Parents, Dawsey and Lillie Terrell; one Stepson, Danny Smith; three Brothers, Monroe Terrell, Noel Terrell, and Levon Terrell.
She is survived by her three Children, Margie Teston (Dale), Lily Young (Rodney), and Darron Smith; three Stepchildren, Pat Watson (Edward), Perry Smith (Jessica); one Sister, Dimple Oxner; one Brother, Buster Terrell; five Grandchildren, Kristin Teston (Alex), Kari Inman (Tyler), Gabrielle Smith, Hurricane Young, and Elijah Smith; two Great Grandchildren, Warren Inman and Elias Inman; seven Step-Grandchildren, Justin Smith, Robbie Smith, Shawn Smith, Cherica Smith, D. J. Smith, Jacob Smith, and Jeremy Watson; and a host of Step-Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hurricane Young, Elijah Smith, Toby Herring, Jesse (Tadpole) Oxner, Justin Smith, and Robbie Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Shawn Smith and Perry Smith
Hathorn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Friends may sign an online guest register book.
