Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Lakeview Church of God in Columbia for Dian Gail Jones, 74, of Hollandale, who passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Columbia Rehabilitation and Health. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Bishop A.D. Gammill Jr. and Dr. Daniel Smith will officiate the services.

The Jones family will receive friends on Tuesday evening , beginning at 1:00 pm until the hour of service of 3:00 pm at Lakeview Church of God.

Dian was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother and will be deeply missed. Born on August 18th 1951 in Jonesboro, LA and grew up in Urania, LA. She married David "Casey" Jones on April 3rd 1970. The wife of a pastor, she was always running children's church during services. She was extremely talented artistically across many mediums. Like her father, she had a green thumb.

She was preceded in death by her Daughter, Rhonda Book; Father, Leroy Pepper; Mother, Margie Wells Pepper; Grandchild, Scottie Book; Brother-In-Law, Danny Boyd.

She is survived by her Husband, David Jones of Hollandale, MS;  Son, Chris Jones (Jennifer) of Columbia;  two Daughters, Marjorie Pierce (Reggie) of Columbia, Michelle McKenzie (Ben) of Columbia;  Brother, Raymond Pepper (Candace);  three Sisters, Velda Russell (Mike), Peggy Smith (Keith) and Patricia Boyd;  six Grandchildren, David Winborne, Bethany Wallace (Ryan), Casey McKenzie, Drake Jones, Noah Jones and Darron Pierce;  6 Great Grand Children;  A host of nephews, nieces, and friends;  Son-In-Law, Coy Book of Jonesville, LA.

Mrs. Jones will be carried to her final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers; they include Ben McKenzie, Ryan Wallace, Reggie Pierce, Darron Pierce, Drake Jones, and Noah Jones.
