Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Deborah Carol Broom, 60, of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Forrest General Hospital. Interment will be at Society Hill Cemetery in Oakvale.  Rev. Tommy Broom will officiate the services. Mike Bennett will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Debbie was a kind, loving person and a free spirit. She enjoyed the outdoors, loving all things in nature…especially trips down to the river!  Debbie was a spiritually minded person and shared a relationship with the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Harold Scott Broom; and her Mother, Avis Virginia Brewer Engle.

She is survived by her Father, Rev. Jimmy Dean Martin; her Step-Daughter, Christy Wright; one Sister, Leslie Passman (Craig); one Nephew, Alex Passman; one Niece, Tatiana Passman; three Aunts, Linda Vann, Inez Martensen, Wanda Jean Young; and three Great Nieces.

Pallbearers will be Chad Cox, Shane Cox, Jody Broom, Evan Broom, Donald Bryant, and Terry Bailey.
