Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Daniel Thomas Magee, 38, of Martinez, California who passed away Monday, August 21, 2023. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Daniel was born and raised in Marion County. He was a graduate of Columbia High School and later earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University. For the last sixteen years he has been employed with Chevron. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his Grandfather, Milton Magee. He is survived by his Father, Audie Magee, of Columbia; Mother, Jensie Tolar Magee, of Columbia; one Brother, David Magee (Rhonda), of Jayess; one Sister, Nancy Blackmon (Ryan), of Brandon; one Step-Brother, Chad McDaniel (Allison), of Viera, Florida; and one Grandmother, Joyce Magee, of Sumrall.
