A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Curtis Elijah Maness, 74, of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023 at his residence. Chris Turnage will officiate the services.   Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 10:00 am on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Curtis enjoyed the outdoors where he loved to hunt, fish and ride four-wheelers.  As a grandfather he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, teaching them life's lessons. Mr. Maness was a truck driver for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Adams Smith; father, Rufus Maness; daughter, Pamela Maness; two brothers, Jessie Joe Smith and Sonny Maness.

He is survived by his Wife, Rita Maness of Columbia, MS; Son, Curtis Maness, Jr.; Daughter, Laura Maness; Brother, Gary Maness.
