On December 26, 2019, Christopher Keith Prine passed away in Miami, FL. He was a native of Columbia, MS for 37 years.

Chris was diagnosed with MENs syndrome in 2017 ~ a hormone disease. Tumors in his pancreas and liver led to a multi visceral transplant on Nov 13th in Miami, FL. Chris' surgery was a complete success however 6 weeks later, he had a seizure and suffered a massive stroke.

Chris will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many.

Chris was preceded in death by his beloved paternal paw paw Lewis O. Prine and maternal paw paw Wayne W. Smith.

He is now grieved by his family. His daughter, Micah Michelle Prine and true love of his life Dana Barber Green. He is also survived and dearly loved by his father Greg Prine (Kim), mother Darlous Dement (Chris), sister Amanda Skidmore (Alex), nephew Hunter and niece Kayleigh. He is also deeply grieved by his paternal grandmother Joyce Prine and maternal grandmother Refa Smith Brewton and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Chris was a 2001 graduate of Columbia Academy. He had dedicated work ethics throughout his short life's journey. He will be forever missed by a plethora of friends, and especially his work 'family' that he loved at Beacon Supply as well as the many Beacon Supply customers throughout the 17 years that have all become family as well. Chris treasured each of you.

Chris was affectionately known as Cub' to many. He loved to hunt, fish, and ride his Harley. He enjoyed evening rides on his golf cart. He also passionately followed Southern Miss, LSU, and the N.O. Saints teams. Just one special talent of mention was that Chris could play the drums by sound and was a perfectionist in everything. Everything always had to be precise.

His memorial services will be officiated by
Pastor Brent King and Pastor Bill Morris. Public visitation will be at West Black Creek Baptist Church, 149 West Black Creek Road, Sumrall, MS. on Tuesday, December 31st from 5 pm until 9 pm and again on Wednesday, January 1st from 9 am until 11 am for public visitation. Funeral Services begin at 11:00 am.

Chris' final resting place will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, 144 Old Hwy 98-E, Columbia, MS.
