Robbins
December 3, 1936 – December 31, 2025
A private Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Hopewell Cemetery in Cheraw for Charles Lewis Robbins, 89, of the Cheraw Community, who passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at The Grove.
Charles, was a man of great skill and steadfast faith. A longtime, devoted member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Charles was known throughout the community as a master of his craft, possessing the rare dual-talent of a skilled carpenter and electrician. His handiwork stands tall in the many homes he built across Marion County. Charles was a true outdoorsman who found his greatest peace while hunting in the woods or casting a line in his favorite fishing spots. Charles carried pride for his athletic roots, often sharing fond memories of his football and baseball career at Columbia High School. He will be remembered not just for the structures he built, but for the loving relationships he formed with so many.
He was preceded in death by his Wife of fifty-five years, Marvel Ann Regan Robbins; his Daughter, Marcy Robbins; his Father, Dennis Howard Robbins; his Mother, Emma Missouri Stephens Robbins; and his Brother, George Robbins.
He is survived by his Daughter, Melinda Robbins (Charles), of Cheraw; two Grandchildren, Chase Robbins (Kristen), of Hattiesburg, Christian Robbins (Corley), of Hattiesburg; one Great Grandchild, Duke Robbins, of Hattiesburg; Cousins, Tommy Stephens, Jim Stephens, Dr. Jim Stephens, and their families, all of Silver Creek.
The family wishes to extend deepest gratitude to the Bradshaw's and The Grove Nursing Home staff for their nurturing care for the past five months.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hopewell Cemetery Fund, 1384 Old Hwy 35 S, Foxworth, MS 39483.
