Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Carson Springs Baptist Church in Sandy Hook, Mississippi for Mrs. Cecile Craft who passed away on August 9, 2024 at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  Internment will be at Carson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Carson Springs Baptist Church.

Cecile was born on May 13, 1935 in Foxworth, Mississippi to the late Levy and Letha Stringer.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Craft along with sisters Essie Welch, Evie Magee, Ina Magee, Claudine Haddox and brothers Otho and Leroy Stringer.

When she was married to her husband Ralph, they traveled extensively to several countries and the United States while Ralph served in the Air Force.  Upon retirement, they made their home in the Little Improve community in Sandy Hook, Mississippi.

She was an active member of Carson Springs Baptist church and spread her caring attitude throughout the community and while visiting nursing homes.  She will be missed by all who knew her and that beautiful smile.

Mrs. Craft is survived by three sons:  Perry (Sheila) of McHenry, Mississippi; Karl and Tim (Kim) of Sandy Hook, Mississippi.  Cecile is survived by one sister, Bertie Mae Lowery along with her grandchildren and great grandchildren along with a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Jeremy Craft, Jake Craft, Lance Craft, Sean Craft, Simon Hazime, and Kim Hebert,

She enjoyed sharing slides of their travels and loves snapping pictures at all family gatherings.

The family wished to express their gratitude for the special care she received by her medical staff at Forrest General Hospital and Asbury Hospice House.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
