Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Carolyn Griffith Taylor, 80 of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Dr. Bryant Barnes and Bro. Hugh Griffith will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

As a long-time resident of Marion County, Carolyn and her Husband, Gilbert, founded and operated Taylor's Pharmacy for 24 years. Through the years, they also founded Super Discount Furniture Warehouse, Big City Rentals, Foxworth Finance, and Fast Cash for Checks. She also loved to travel, until illness in her later years.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 40 years, Gilbert Taylor; her Parents, Lonnie & Katie Griffith; two Sisters, Bernice Barrett, Vondell Simmons; and five Brothers, Lamont Griffith, Ellis Griffith, Truitt Griffith, Milton Griffith, Mims Griffith.

She is survived by one Daughter, Marie Herring (Clint), of Columbia; one Son, Gilbert Griffith Taylor, of Hattiesburg; and one Sister, Frances Robinson, of Columbia.
