Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 29, at Greenville Baptist Church in Lumberton for Caroline Elise Powell, 31 of Lumberton, who passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Bro. Jimmy Pender and Bro. Mike Lee will officiate the services. Caleb Matheny will provide special music.

The Powell family will receive guests on Thursday Afternoon, May 28, 2026 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at Greenville Baptist Church in Lumberton, MS.

Caroline Powell was a woman of vibrant passions and a deeply generous heart. Whether she was sharing her talents through music, riding horses, or embracing her love for law enforcement, she poured her energy into everything she did. Her spirit of service shone brightly through her performances for jail ministries, nursing homes, and her beloved church community at Greenville Baptist Church in Lumberton, MS, where her faith remained a steadfast cornerstone of her life. Caroline also possessed a joyful, adventurous side, famously finding delight in attending Renaissance fairs. Yet, above all her diverse interests and dedicated service, the true center of her world was her family; nothing brought her greater joy or pride than the profound love she held for her sons, Benjamin and Augustus Powell.

Mrs. Powell is preceded in death by, one Nephew, Dallas Powell; one Grandfather, Rembert Powell.

She is survived by her two Sons, Benjamin Powell and Augustus Gaytan, of Lumberton;

parents Richard and Charis Powell, of Lumberton;

two Brothers, Richard Andrew Powell (Madison), Jacob Allonzo Powell (Sage), of Lumberton, MS.

Mrs. Powell will be carried to her final resting place by those honored to serve as Pallbearers; Drew Powell, Jacob Powell, Charlie Powell, Logan Powell, Clay Powell, Bradley Lucus.
