Private Graveside services will be held for Carl Dempsey Pounds, 69, of Foxworth, who passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021. Interment will be at Lott Cemetery. Lloyd Herring will officiate.

Carl was a longtime resident of the New Hope Community. He had a great sense of humor and was a wonderful, loving grandfather. He absolutely loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Carl enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and running beagles. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

Mr. Pounds was preceded in death by his Father, Russell Pounds; Mother, Eliza Bedwell Pounds; one Son, Carl Shane Pounds; one Brother, Sedgie Pounds.

He is survived by his Daughter, Alice "Renee" Thames (Michael); two Granddaughters, Casey Thames, Kiley Thames; two Brothers, Rayner Pounds (Joyce), R.L. Pounds; one Sister, Nadean Allen (Glen), one special love, Joshelyn Pounds, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Glen Edward Allen, Casey Thames, Luke Stringer, Popeye Stringer, Kendall Pittman, Lavelle Johnson, and Todd Pounds.
