Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Woodlawn Church in Columbia for Carey Martin, 87, of Columbia, who passed away Monday, November 15, 2021. Interment will be at New Chapel Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Covington County. Rev. Clyde Clark and Pastor Jerron Carney will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Woodlawn Church, and from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Woodlawn Church.

Carey was a Navy Veteran, a career electrician (IBW Local 903, Gulfport), and an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved woodworking during his retirement years. Most of all, he loved his church and his precious Savior.

Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his Parents, Truesdale & Mozelle Armstrong Martin; and one Brother, Marcus Martin. He is survived by his Wife, Annette Baughman Martin, of Columbia; two Sons, Richard Martin (Laura), of Katy, Texas, Tony Martin (Melissa), of Prentiss; one  Daughter, Rhonda Gibson (Renard), of Columbia; one Step-son, Eddie Huhn (Shandel), of Schertz, Texas; three Step-daughters, Kim H. Gibson (Renee), of Columbia, Ramona Melder (Brandon), of Alexandria, Louisiana, Tammy Carter, of Columbia; 14 Grandchildren; and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers Jonathan Gibson, Quinton Gibson, Lane Martin, Drew Stanley, Drew Dunaway, and Keith Applewhite.
