Clare Leigh Herring, age 30, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2026.

Born on April 10, 1996, at Forrest General Hospital, Clare was the beloved daughter of Latta and Wayne Herring.

Clare was a fierce protector of those closest to her, especially her brothers Cole and Hacksaw, her twin, both of whom she absolutely adored. She was tough as nails and a true spitfire, especially on the CA basketball courts and on the back of any horse you put her on. She was fearless in every aspect of her life and let that spirit guide her, taking every chance she could to back flip into the Mississippi River or beat her time barrel racing.

Clare dedicated her life to generously loving others, caring for every animal she encountered, and serving Jesus. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her compassion, her testimony that touched so many lives, and her ability to turn the everyday into a story worth remembering.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her family.

She is survived by her loving parents, Latta and Wayne Herring; her older brother, Cole Price (Megan); her twin brother, Wayne “Hacksaw” Herring (Sarah); her cherished nephew, Vann Price; her beloved nieces, Vaiden Price and Violet Price; her former husband, Tanner Trahan; her bonus siblings, Jenni Lee “Sissy” Price and Bryant “Bru Bru” Magee; and her dear friend Miranda Jenkins.

She is also survived by her aunt, Paige Price, and her children, Josh (Hannah) and Sissy Price; her beloved aunt, Clare Morrissey, for whom she was named; her honorary uncle, David Franklin; her uncle, Simon Herring, and aunt, Angel, and their children, Maggie Carver (Peyton), Mamie, Ollie, and Davis Herring; and her uncle, Sam, and aunt, Melissa, and their children, Hunter and Harley Herring; along with a host of extended family members and friends whose lives she deeply touched.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leigh “Maw” and Richard “Paw” Price, her paternal grandfather Clyde Herring, and her cherished companions Cash and MJ, along with many other beloved animals she cared for throughout her life.

Pallbearers will be John Harvey, Eric McKenzie, Bryson “Mookie” Dunaway, Bryant “Bru Bru” Magee, Trevor Ball, Hunter Herring, Vann Price, Clifford Fernandez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Davis Herring, Charles Ray Polk, Sandy (Fro) Fortenberry, Tyrone Ball, Phillip Stroud, and all employees of Sandy Hook Machine Shop.

To honor Clare’s bright, bold spirit, the family requests people attending the services to wear bright colors or patterns in lieu of black.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the construction of the Woodlawn Kids Center. https://woodlawnchurch.churchcenter.com/giving/to/beyond-in-memory-of-clare-herring
