Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Bobby Glen McKenzie, 83, of Columbia, who passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his residence. Interment will be at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Calvin Newsome & Bro. Marcus Kelly will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

As a longtime resident of Marion County, Bobby faithfully served the citizens for most of his life as a public worker with the County and City of Columbia.

Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by his Parents, Hillary & Ruby McKenzie; one Brother, Hillary McKenzie, Jr.; three Sisters, Faye McCraw, Helen Tiberville, Betty Terrell; and one Grandchild, Kiel McKenzie.

He is survived by his Son, Glenn McKenzie (Terri), of Columbia; two Grandchildren, Kasey Gill (Kayla), of Oak Grove, Kalin McKenzie, of Columbia; three Great-grandchildren, Addi Hollis, of Eupora, Kohen Gill, of Oak Grove, Knox Gill, of Oak Grove; Faithful Friend, Bobby Devall, of Columbia; and a caretaker, Geneva, of Columbia.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Carney, Charles Jefferson, Ronald Simmons, Robert Terrell, Glen Bodine, and David Hathorn.
