Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Blankford Burnell "Burt" Giles, 64, of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at his residence. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Donovan Reid will officiate the services. Sonny Daley will provide music for the services. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Burt was born and raised in Columbia. He had an affection for old Mustangs and working on old cars. He also enjoyed time with his father flying airplanes. Burt made many memories cooking out for his family and playing his guitar outside by the campfire.

Mr. Giles was preceded in death by his Father, Nelson Giles; his Mother, Alma Mae Stampley McNabb; and one Half-Brother, Israel Ray Arinder.

He is survived by his Wife, Debora Giles, of Columbia; one Son, Bond Giles, of Columbia; one Sister, Louise Stamps, of Columbia; three Grandchildren, Aiden Bond Giles, of Columbia, Avery Belle Giles, of Columbia, Cassidy Norris (Thomas), of Columbia; three Great Grandchildren, Kyle Lilly of Columbia, Julian Lilly, of Columbia, Jenna Lilly, of Columbia; four Nephews, Patrick Burke, of Houston, Texas, Israel Ray Arinder, Jr., of Texas, Philip Ray Arinder, of Picayune, Christopher Arinder, of Louisiana; and one Niece, Rayne Burke, of Houston, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Sonny Daley, Richard Daley Aiden Giles, Bond Giles, Dennis Hudson, and Joseph Taylor.
