Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Billy Dale Graham, 80, of Columbia, who passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026. Interment will be at New Union Cemetery in Columbia. Rev. Tommy Broom and Rev. Darrin Webb will officiate the services. Kyle Smith will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Hathorn Funeral Home.
Billy was a lifelong cornerstone of the Marion County community. A proud veteran, Billy served his nation with honor in both the United States Air Force and the Air Reserves. Following his military service, he embarked on a long and successful career as an electrician with Chevron, where he remained until his retirement. In their earlier years, Billy and his beloved wife, Vernell, shared the grit and reward of life as cattle farmers. He was committed to his fellow veterans, marked by his years of active involvement in the American Legion. Billy was a devoted member of New Union Missionary Baptist Church in Columbia, remaining active in the congregation until his health no longer permitted.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Vernell Aultman Graham; his Father, James Hubert Graham; his Mother, Jewel Moree Graham; three Brothers, Sammy Graham, James Stewart Graham, Joe B. Graham; and one Sister, Charlotte Stewart.
He is survived by his two Sons, Steven Graham of Columbia, David Graham of Columbia; two Brothers, Tony M. Graham (Beneaka) of Columbia, John D. Graham of Palm Springs, California; three Sisters, Dianne Smith (Larry) of Hattiesburg, Hilda Broome (Roger) of Mobile, Alabama, Glinda Crooks (Bill) of Hattiesburg; one Grandchild, Alexandra White; four Great Grandchildren; a number of Nieces & Nephews; and one Sister-In-Law, Joann Graham of Brandon.
