Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Lakeview Church of God in Columbia for Billie V. Pate, 93, of Columbia, who passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Marion General Hospital. Rev. A.D. Gammell Jr. will officiate the services.  Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Lakeview Church of God.

Mrs. Billie, a woman of unwavering faith and boundless compassion, passed away peacefully. As a devoted pastor's wife, she embraced her ministry with grace and unwavering support, touching countless lives within her community. Her dedication extended beyond the church walls, as she served as a compassionate nurse at Marion General Hospital, where she provided comfort and care to those in need. Above all, she cherished her family, showering her children and grandchildren with unconditional love. Her nurturing spirit was particularly evident in her love for infant care, a testament to her gentle and tender heart.

She was preceded in death by her Spouse, L E Pate; Father, Rufus Perry Evans; Mother, Della Collins Evans.

She is survived by her two Sons, David Pate; John Pate; six Grandchildren, Angela Combs (Dennis), Kristen Pate, Steve Pate (Claire), Alaina Williams, Olivia Combs and Paige Schwendler (Dan); A host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
