Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 30, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Columbia for Billie Jean Bass, 91 of Columbia, who passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at her residence. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Wayne Cook, Dr. Bryant Barnes, and Rev. Tom Thurman will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, September 30, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Columbia.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy H. Sullivan; second husband, Dr. Charles Bass; parents, H.P. and Blanche Chipman; sons, Marc Henderson Sullivan, Walter Ray Sullivan, and sisters, Lillian Pinkard, and Evelyn Greer.

She is survived by her daughters, Regi Sullivan Cook (Wayne) of Pigeon Forge, TN; Shannon Sullivan of Columbia; three grandchildren, Allison Cook Chasin (Scott) of Cary, NC, Sullivan Cook (Melissa) of Savannah, GA, Taylor Cook (Maria) of Enola, PA; four great grandchildren, Emily Cook of Savannah, GA, Ezra Cook of Savannah, GA, Emilia Cook of Enola, PA, and Perrin Cook of Enola, PA; and sister, Lorene Lewis of Gallipolis, OH.
