The Turner family will receive guests on Sunday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday morning up until service time at 10:00 am at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Betty was a loving and caring wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and a true friend to many. She will be remembered for her unwavering support and deep love for her family.

Betty was an exceptionally talented cook, known for her homemade chicken and dumplings, dressing, Mexican cornbread, and her famously delicious pepper steak. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and comfort, where she nourished not just the physical body, but also the soul.

She had a remarkable green thumb and was an avid gardener who took great pride in her plants and flowers. She also cherished her guided tour trips with her sister, Judy.

While the family's hearts are heavy with sorrow, they are also filled with gratitude for the precious time they were able to share with her. Her love will forever be a part of them, and her presence will be profoundly missed.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, James Turner; Parents, Rillis & Emma Magee Moree; one Grandchild, Joshua Butler; two Brothers, John Rillis Moree, Gary Moree; one Sister, Irma Jean Thompson; and two Son-in-laws, Glyn Oquin, Bennie Ray Smith.

She is survived by her Son, Benton Butler (Melanie); three Daughters, Sandra Smith (David), Connie Oquin, Vicki Smith; seven Grandchildren; two Brothers, Larue Moree, Austin Moree; two Sisters, Judy Mulford, Brenda Williamson; five Great Grandchildren; and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

Mrs. Turner will be carried to her final place of rest by those honored to serve as Pallbearers; they include: Andy Smith, Joey Smith, Allen Mulford, Tony Moree, Josh Moree, and Hoss Kirkley.

The family would like to express a deep gratitude to The Grove Nursing Home, St. Lukes Hospice, Jessica Magee, NP, Dr. Tara Parker, Glenda Edwards (Caregiver).  The family greatly appreciates all the care and love that was shown to our mother.
