Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Betty Darr Stringer, 77, of Foxworth, who passed away Friday, January 3, 2025. Interment will be at Lott Cemetery in Foxworth. Dr. Jerry Watts will officiate the services.  Reuben McDowell will provide special music. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Betty was a longtime resident of Marion County. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord. She was also a member of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of fifty-two years, Leroy Stringer; her Son, Stephen Ashley Stringer; her Parents, Allen & Lucy Darr; two Brothers, Charles "Buddy" Darr, George "Sonny" Darr; and four Sisters, Patsy Taylor, Mary Allen Darr, Joe Ann Franklin, Barbara Sue Darr.

She is survived by her two Sons, Anthony Stringer (Jennifer), of Sumrall, Seth Stringer, of Calera, Alabama; two Brothers, John Darr (Kiok), Donald Darr; two Sisters, Pansy Peavy (Shelton), Linda Taylor (Weldon Goldman); two Grandchildren, Carson Stringer, Austin Stringer; and a number of Nieces & Nephews.

Pallbearers will be Austin Stringer, Carson Stringer, Cecil Parker, Clayton Dykes, Troy Dykes, and Weldon Goldman.
