Betty Elizabeth Martin Pittman, 82
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 01, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church in Foxworth for Betty Elizabeth Pittman, 82, of Foxworth, who passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at her residence. Interment will be at Lott Cemetery in Foxworth. Rev. Darrin Powell and Dr. Jerry Watts will officiate the services. John Garner will provide special music.
The Pittman family will receive guests on Sunday evening from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Monday morning from 9:00 am until service time all at New Hope Baptist Church.
A devoted mother, faithful servant of God, and beloved matriarch of her family. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was a woman of unwavering faith and a deep love of her family, which defined her life and now the legacy she leaves behind.
Betty was a lifelong homemaker and housewife, who poured her heart into raising her five children and creating a home filled with love. She took pride in her home cooked meals that brought everyone together.
Betty was a proud, longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she served faithfully on various committees throughout her life, most notably she was known as, "The Sweet Tea and Pink Lemonade Lady."
Her dedication to her church community reflected her deep faith and commitment to serving the Lord.
In addition to her work within the church, Betty, also served as President of the West Marion Water Association for over 20 years. Her leadership and dedication to her community was evident in everything she did.
Above all, Betty was the true heart of her family—a guiding force, who led with strength, love and a firm conviction of her faith. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will live on in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Robert E. "Bob" Pittman of 42 years; Father, Earl Pepper Martin; Mother, Ruth McAllister Martin; two Sisters, Edna Earl Martin and Elaine Turnage.
She is survived by her three Sons, Kevin Pittman (Stella) of Sandy Hook, MS, Kyle Pittman (Karen) of Tylertown, MS and Kasey Pittman (Michelle) of Foxworth, MS; two Daughters, Kim Turnage (Keith) of Foxworth, MS and Karen Bedwell (Bobby) of Foxworth, MS; fifteen Grandchildren, Kelli McMurry (Jesse), Ryan Goar, Kayla Crawford (T C), Kenzie Turnage, David Woodward (LeAnn), Chris Hicks, Jerry Hicks, Kevin LeBlanc (Beth), Brad LeBlanc, Leah Dement (Blake), Kylee Pittman, Ashten Badon (Alex), Ty Buchner (Breanna), Max Jones and PFC Carsten Jones; 3 Great great grandchildren; Brother, Willie Martin (Pauline); 25 Great Grandchildren; A host of nephews, nieces, and friends; Brother-In-Law, Reggie Turnage.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Goar, Kenzie Turnage, Jesse McMurry, Justin Pounds, Blake Dement, and Kevin LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be .
