Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 13, 2022 at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia for Beachel "Mimi" Turnage, 86, of Poplarville, who passed away Monday, June 6, 2022. Interment will be at Foxworth Cemetery in Foxworth. Rev. Mark McArthur will officiate the services. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, June 12, and again on Monday June 13, 2022 from 10:00 am to 1:45 pm at Hathorn Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mimi was a longtime resident of Marion County. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, whom she loved immensely. Some of her interests included, playing bingo or cards and doing crafts. She was a faithful member of Foxworth First Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was a great home maker and she devoted ten years to assisting Special Needs at Ellisville State School. Mrs. Mimi Turnage will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by Father, J.W. Simmons; Mother, Georgie Ables Simmons; one Brother, Michael Simmons; one Son, Shawn Turnage.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, W.R. Turnage; one Daughter, Cathy Disbrow; three Grandsons, Brian Disbrow (Natausha), Adam Disbrow (Allison), Jacob Turnage; two Granddaughters, Alexis Shipley (Kenny), Kacie Turnage, and five Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brian Disbrow, Adam Disbrow, James Simmons, Glyn Simmons, Mathew Fite, Todd Pittman, Jeff Delancey and Jacob Turnage.
