Private services will be held at a later date for Barney Lavon Bass, 60, of Bassfield, who passed away Saturday, July 24, 2021

Barney was born in Marion County and spent his life living here.  His family remembers his love for riding motorcycles, raising goats, and his dog, Outlaw.  He loved his family and especially his grandchildren with all his heart.

Bass was preceded in death by his parents, Barney Hayes & Betty Sue Broom Bass.  He is survived by his Wife, Cheryl Bass of Columbia; one Son, Christopher Bass of Foxworth; two  Step-daughters, Latasha Thomas of Columbia; Catherine Leann Henderson of Columbia; three Sister, Patricia Ann Broom, of Bassfield; Peggy Sue Bass, of Bassfield; Lillie Doris Graves, of Columbia; 6 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild.
